The root of most drawing difficulties is not our lack of ability or skills, but our own perfectionism, expectations and fear of failure.Through a combination of coaching techniques, demonstrations and ample practice, you will learn to “get out of your own way” so you can draw quickly and expressively, regardless of your subject. In this invigorating and supportive class you will take gesture drawing beyond typical warm-ups to produce sketches, studies and finished mixed-media works incorporating charcoal, conte’, pastel, ink and water soluble artists’crayons.

You will increase your productivity, improve your observational skills, and tackle your fear of the blank page—and transform work into play by having fun while doing it.
