Southwest Sand Art
Sand-- it conjures feelings of relaxation and play and memories of great vacations and childhood adventures in the sandbox. In honor of the final days of summer, you are invited to explore this whimsical medium. I'll be using it to make my own petroglyphs inspired by the ancient rock art of the Southwest. You make whatever you are inspired to do! Colored Sand and glue provided.

Valentine’s Day in’t really about love, romance or chocolate…it’s about the CARDS! Making them, that is….Come join your co-hosts Michelle Wald and Katherine Torrini (a.k.a. the Craft Mavens) in indulging your love of paper, scissors and glue (not to mention punches, stamps, ribbon, confetti, lace,…oh my!) Play a while, make new friends, try your hand at 3-D pop-up cards, collaged cards, and making your own “rubber” stamps. You'll love it!

My vision is to collect thousands of dreams and write them on tags that can then be hung from lighted trees around City Hall for Austin's New Years Eve Art celebration, First Night.This first gathering is a baby step toward that goal by work-shopping the idea and creating a life-sized model.
